Seek referral business.
Hmmm, seems like a no-brainer, but it's often the easy things that get forgotten.
I
suspect you provide a great product or service and your customers walk
away happy with the exchange. Correct? But I also suspect you don't
often ask for the referral. Am I right?
In our busy world, many
people don't often think of asking for, or actually referring business.
For some, it's just not on
their radar. What YOU have to do is put it on
their radar. Once the business exchange is over, ask for a testimonial
letter, get an audio or video referral for your website and then
pointedly ask if they would
refer your business should the opportunity arise. It only takes a few
minutes of your time to, "plant the seed." The benefit is a huge
crop of new customers who refer new customers, and so on and so
on.
We are far more
likely to trust the input of friends, family and fellow purchasers, than
business advertising propaganda. It's
not what you as a company say you do; it's what you actually do that
really
matters.
P.S. Unsolicited testimonials have even more power than solicited
testimonials so keep doing exceptional work! Ideally you won't have to ask for
the referral.

power of social media marketing. If you plant the seed and get someone
else talking about your great efforts on one of the hundreds of social
media channels out there, the good word can travel far and fast!
