Chasing Eyeballs! |
When it comes to marketing
its all about chasing the eyeballs. Its about getting people to look at,
notice and become aware of your products and services. Because in the
end, the number of people who are aware of who you are and what you do
is directly correlated to the revenue and growth of your business.
A
case in point, a recent article in the January 2008 edition of Inc. magazine points to this direct
correlation between awareness and a businesses growth and revenue.
But don't assume just because someone knows your business name
they know what you do. Sadly, I have heard the statement, "Oh, I didn't
know you did that?" one too many times. Have you?
So, how do you
make people aware? I mean REALLY make them aware?
Branding,
consistency, repetition. Branding, consistency, repetition. Branding,
consistency, repetition. Branding, consistency, repetition. Branding,
consistency, repetition. Branding, consistency,
repetition. Branding, consistency, repetition.
It
takes at least 7-exposures for the average person to remember what they
saw and/or heard.
Be in front of your clients with impactful
awareness and reminder tactics to show and tell on a regular,
consistent basis. AND, at all times live your brand, because in a world where consumer opinions are amplified
by technology, if you don't live your brand it won't be long before
awareness of that fact becomes the prominent message.

Be a Speed Pro - |

Fast and
furious is the rhythm of business today, and
businesses who can turn around consistent quality, faster than the
competition
often become the supplier of choice.
Two years ago I received a call from one of the owners of Speedpro
Imaging and
Signs, who has over 45 franchises across Canada. They were looking to do
exactly what we wrote about in the "Eyeball" article above; Develop
tactics to reinforce corporate branding on a consistent and repetitive
basis.
But the morale of this story is not about their client experience
with
me, but rather, about my client experience with them.
I personally had not heard of Speedpro before they became my client, but
I
started to use their services on a regular basis and have since
come to rely on
their ability to satisfy my often, unrealistic time demands for signage
and
imaging services. They have risen to the challenge on many occasions,
providing
overnight service and delivering halfway across the country for me. They
turn it around for me and I turn it around for my clients. They're fast,
so I'm fast, and because I can be a speed pro, pulling rabbits out of
hats for
my clients, I become their supplier of choice.
The need for speed doesn't
appear to be waning either, so, and here we are with the moral of this
story . . . If we're going to compete we either have to get with the
rhythm and be a speed pro or run the risk of dancing alone.
